Making handprint turkeys is simple and fun! Children can stamp their painted hands or feet onto construction paper and draw their turkey's features using fingerpaint. They can also add feathers or googly eyes to personalize their turkey.
Cardboard Thankful Turkey Craft
A Dab of Glue Will Do has a thankful turkey craft that uses cardboard from cracker or cereal boxes, colored construction paper, glue, scissors, and googly eyes to create a cardboard turkey. The best part of this craft is it allows children to write what they are thankful for on each of their turkey's feathers.
The Thankful Tree
What I Have Learned has a two-part activity that is perfect for the Thanksgiving spirit. One activity is a list where children can write everything they are thankful for and why. The other part of the activity is to cut out leaves from construction paper and glue them onto a piece of paper to create a thankfulness tree where they can write each thing they are thankful for on each of the leaves.
Paper Bag Turkey
The Paper Bag Turkey craft by Journey to Sahm uses materials you likely have at home. The materials needed are a paper bag, construction paper, glue, scissors, and googly eyes that will create a turkey that can either be used as a puppet.
Craft Stick Scarecrow
Michaels has a craft kit to create scarecrows out of popsicle sticks. You can purchase it online or use supplies you already have to create one. The only things used for this craft are popsicle sticks, googly eyes, yarn, construction paper, and markers, which you likely already have at home.
Paper Pumpkin Craft
This paper pumpkin craft by Simple Everyday Mom is perfect for preschool-aged children. Using colored construction paper, white paper, a glue stick, scissors, and their downloadable pumpkin template, preschoolers can create their very own pumpkins to display at home.
Paper Roll Turkey Craft
The Resourceful Mama has an easy and creative paper roll turkey craft that is perfect for young children. All you need to create a turkey is a paper roll, colored paper, glue, colored construction paper, and googly eyes.
Turkey Leaf Craft
Easy Peasy and Fun has a printable template for a turkey that can be used along with leaves gathered from outside to create a leaf turkey. This craft is even more exciting because it requires children to go outside and find leaves for the craft so that each of their turkeys is unique, just like them.
Apple Stamping Pumpkin Craft
Made to be a Momma's apple stamping pumpkin craft is a perfect craft for young children because it is quick and easy. Using an apple that is cut down the center and safe, orange finger paint, children can stamp their apples onto a piece of paper and decorate their pumpkins with whatever they would like.
Paper Fall Tree
I Heart Crafty Things has a fall paper tree craft where you create paper circles to be leaves on a piece of construction paper, so it appears that the leaves are popping off the page.
