What childcare training resources exist in North Carolina?

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE) oversees all services, programs, and facilities pertaining to early childhood and out of school learning. DCDEE is also the home to all of North Carolina’s childcare professional development and training needs. While there are many great tools available to childcare professionals from DCDEE, here’s one that we’ve found to be very useful.

Star Rated Licenses  recognizes high quality care that childcare programs provide. This is similar to a quality rating improvement system. Star Rated Licenses encourage early childhood programs to improve upon weaker areas in their program to ultimately get a better star rating.  

Provider Documents and Forms  provides North Carolina early childhood workforce members with all the documents and forms that they would need to run a well-managed center and meet licensing requirements.
