Language does make a difference! This training is an introduction to young children with special needs. Participants will develop knowledge about appropriate terminology connected with special needs and disabilities. We’ll look at a brief history of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and what’s covered under it. Participants will identify screening tools, agencies, and resources available to assist the support teams of children with disabilities, including teachers and families. During this training we will analyze the importance of inclusive preschool programs. Teaching strategies to create a more inclusive classroom will be introduced.

  • Courses must be taken within the first 120 days after purchase. This includes in-person skills assessment if you have purchased a blended course. After 120 days, courses will expire. No extensions will be given.

I enjoyed the class. It was well presented and learned things I didn't think about before. Would like to take other topics from Air Child Care Training Solutions and from this instructor.
