Childhood trauma is an urgent and pervasive issue in early childhood education. Trauma has profound effects on children’s growth and development and can undermine their ability to navigate demands and expectations critical for school success. This training will overview characteristics of trauma and its effects on learning. Participants will take away a framework for structures and practices that reinforce safety and connection and that provide learners with tools for resilience and school success.
