What is the IMPACT Registry?
The Innovative Model for Professional Advancement and Career Tracking (IMPACT) is Virginia’s early childhood professional development registry. The IMPACT Registry is a voluntary resource for early childhood professionals to join. The IMPACT Registry provides support to early childhood professionals by tracks training, recognizes achievements, and provides scholarships.
The IMPACT Registry provides a number of key benefits from increasing the number of high-quality early childcare education programs to tracking knowledge, and also raise the status of early care and education. The IMPACT Registry approves trainings from qualified trainers. AIR Child Care Training Solutions offers trainings under the trainer Pam Oviatt.

While there are many great tools available to childcare professionals, here’s one that we’ve found to be very useful.
Career Pathways in the IMPACT Registry places participants on appropriate levels on the career level once they enroll. The IMPACT Registry provides a number of sources for participants to develop and gain more skills as well as move themselves up in levels on the career ladder.
How many clock hours of training are needed?
According to the Virginia Department of Social Services: Standards for Licensed Child Day Centers revised in 2019, early childhood professionals are required to complete sixteen (16) hours of professional development training annually.
