When struck with big emotions like anger, frustration or fear, children may respond in dramatic or disruptive ways. Developing healthy coping strategies enables children to manage big emotions effectively and avoid being hijacked by anger, frustration or conflict. In this course, we will apply principles of brain-based learning, emotional intelligence and tenets of positive discipline to identify situations that trigger tantrums, emotional outbursts and other behaviors that can be challenging.Participants will practice practical techniques for helping children express their emotions appropriately, manage their stress and become resilient and successful in school and life.

  • Courses must be taken within the first 120 days after purchase. This includes in-person skills assessment if you have purchased a blended course. After 120 days, courses will expire. No extensions will be given.
